Hey Linda and Ross
I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated the clock you sent me.
I got a hole saw from sears today and got it installed in the DASH of my 1300
VTX Honda.
With the insert you made for me the install was quite easy. I used a 1 3/8 hole
saw to drill the dash, I centered the pilot hole on the Honda emblem then drilled
from the back side first about half way thru the material and then finished
drilling from the front side of the dash. The plastic dash drills very easy
with the Bi-metal type hole saw even with a hand/portable drill. Would
have been easier if I'd had a drill press but I managed anyways. The hole
was slightly undersized, approximately .053" which I was able
to take a rat tail file to remove the little material needed to fit the insert
into the dash. I then used a little 5 minute apoxy on the back/underside
to secure the insert.
I've sent some pix, hope you can see what I've done and if anyone needs clarification
of the process I'll be more than happy to email or call them about how I did
mine.
I hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and wish you a very prosperous New
Year.
Sincerly John Jensen
